My son and daughter have both lost their hair due to Alopecia! In 2008 our son’s hair began to fall out; then he was diagnosed with alopecia. Alopecia causes the loss of hair partially or completely due to an over-active immune system. We were directed to a dermatologist in Chapel Hill; which we had to travel an hour and fifteen minutes to get to every month. Then all of a sudden when you think things couldn’t get worst Tre’Najhay started to have hair loss and the last thing we wanted it to be was alopecia.

Tre’Najhay was appointed the same dermatologist as our son. She was prescribed creams and prescriptions for fungus and neither of these seem to do the job.  We received all sorts of advice from different people and everywhere we went someone seemed to know someone or something about alopecia yet, no one could tell us how to get our kids hair back. The doctors were down to their last attempts, which were steroid injections in their heads.

We seemed to be down and out of solutions. We started buying Tre’Najhay head wraps and wrapping her head in scarves. We weren’t worried so much about our son being that he was a boy but how beautiful would it be if they both had there hair. It’s hard for me because I have had dreadlocks for ten years and I would love to see my son with dreadlocks and Tre’Najhay with pretty long hair or even dreadlocks. The thing that gets me too is that both of their zodiac signs are Libras. Then one day my sister-in-law came to me with an address and a number to Elizabeth Ashley Invisible Lace Wigs. We made the call and set an appointment for measurements and Tre’Najhay picked out the style that she wanted. A few weeks later we took Tre’Najhay for her appointment and she was excited. When they were done I could see a smile on her a face I hadn’t seen since she began to lose her hair. She loves for her mother and friends to put her hair in different styles. She was always the type you couldn’t keep out from in front of the mirror but now she catches a glimpse at her self off of anything that reflects her image!

I had never heard of Elizabeth Ashley or Invisible Lace Wigs until a couple of months ago. Their services and hospitality towards Tre’Najhay, my family, and I have been an experience of a lifetime. They have become like family and are continuing to play a big role in us keeping Tre’Najhay comfortable and happy.

I would like to acknowledge my sister-in-law Angela for introducing us to Elizabeth Ashley Wigs and their services and I would like to thank the staff for their support!

Thank You
